XXXSaturday at lake Brownwood started off a bit cool but turned out to be a fairly nice day compared to what we have been experiencing. Sunday was quite a bit different for both comfort and fishing. Saturday there were 19 fish weighed by 23 anglers. Sunday zero fish were weighed by 12 anglers.
XXX Congratulations to the winners at our February tournament held on February 6^th and 7^th.  Water temperatures were in the low 40's and the fishing was tough for those that fished this month.
XXXEugene Ray finished in first place with 5 fish that weighed 9.20 lbs.  Second place went to Jimmy Thurman with 3 fish weighing 6.48 lbs.  Third place went to Rick Schmidt with 2 fish weighing 6.34 lbs. and fourth place went to Barry Merrill with 2 fish weighing 5.72 lbs. Ira Wooten had the Big Bass weighing 5.16 lbs.

XBarry and Donna Merrill won the Team Jackpot with 4 fish weighing 9.06 lbs.  The winners of the Blind Draw Jackpot were Jimmy Thurman and Jerry Land with a combined weight of 8.35 lbs.
XXDonna Merrill won the Ladies Division with 2 fish weighing 3.34 lbs.
XXXLevi Dowell was the only youth to fish but did not weigh a fish.

March Tournament
Lake Stamford

XXXThe March club tournament has been voted to be on Lake Stamford.  The dates are March 6^th and 7^th.  Weigh-in will be at the Lake Stamford Park boat ramp parking lot.  Fishing time is set for 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday. The length limit on Stamford is 14-1/4" on largemouth and Smallmouth bass and no length limit on Spotted bass.

XXXFor those who have never been to Lake Stamford, Go to Cisco and take Hwy 6 northwest through Albany. Continue on Hwy 6 towards Leuders. Northwest of Leuders turn right on FM/RR 142. Follow 142 to FM 600 and turn right onto 600. Follow 600 to FM 2976, turn right on 2976 and follow to Catfish Circle. Exit left onto Catfish circle which will tntersect with Standford Marina Drive which turns into Crappie Drive.
