XXXCloudy, hot and humid weather greeted anglers at our Hubbard creek tournament.
XXXNine members, one guest and one youth fished the event. On Saturday 15 fish were weighed with an average weight 2.18 pounds. Sunday 12 fish were weighed with an average weight of 2.26 pounds.
XXX The winners were, first E. A. Merrill with 5 fish that weighed 17.20 lbs.  Second place was Jimmy Thurman with 5 fish weighing 14.17 lbs.  Third place was Derrick Odom with 4 fish weighing 8.10 lbs. and fourth place was Rick Schmidt with 3 fish weighing 5.79 lbs.
XXXRick Schmidt and Jerry Land won the Team Jackpot with 4 fish weighing 7.89 lbs.  The winners of the Blind Draw Jackpot were Jimmy Thurman and Ira Wooten with 6 fish with a combined weight of 17.36 lbs.
XXXKaren Wade won the Ladies Division with 3 fish weighing 5.56 pounds.
XXXOne youth fished but was unable to weigh a fish.

August Tournament on
Lake Pat Cleburne

XXXThe August club tournament has been voted to be on lake Pat Cleburen.  The dates are August 7^th and 8^th.  Weigh-in will be at Country Club boat ramp parking lot located on the East side of the lake. Fishing time is set for 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Length limits are: Largemouth Bass = 14 1/4" length limit, Spotted bass = no length limit.
XXXTo get to the ramp take business highway 67 east to Nolan River Road. Turn right on Nolan River Road. Then take a right on Country Club Road ( FM 1718). At Harvest Hill Road take a left.Follow Harvest Hill Road to Lake Shore Drive and take a right. At the next intersection take another right onto a road that follows the lake to the boat ramp.
