XXXO. H. Ivie met anglers Saturday morning with winds around 15 miles per hour and temperatures in the 50's. By Saturday afternoon winds were gusting 20 plus and temperatures were only in the 70s. Sunday morning temperatures were in the mid 60's and the winds were 10 to 15 mph. By afternoon the temperature rose to the upper 70's and the winds remained 10 to 15 mph.
XXXFourteen angler fished the event on Saturday and weighed 28 fish that averaged 2.6 pounds. The Big Bass was caught on Saturday by Derrick Odom. It weighed 5.66 pounds. Sunday ten anglers fished and brought 17 fish to the scales. The average weight was 1.87 pounds.
XXX The winners were, first E. A. Merrill with 5 fish that weighed 20.60 lbs.  Second place was Robbie Wooten with 4 fish weighing 10.76 lbs.  Third place was Derrick Odom with 3 fish weighing 9.98 lbs. and fourth place was Ira Wooten with 4 fish weighing 8.84 lbs.
XXXRobbie and Ira Wooten won the Team Jackpot with 5 fish weighing 11.63 lbs.  The winners of the Blind Draw Jackpot were E. A. Merrill and Ira Wooten with 9 fish with a combined weight of 29.44 lbs.
XXXOnly two youth fished the event but were unable to weigh a fish.
XXXNo ladies fished this event.

June Tournament
Lake Leon

XXXThe June club tournament has been voted to be on Lake Leon.  The dates are June 5^th and 6^th.  Weigh-in will be at the Choc-A Bloc park boat ramp parking lot.  Fishing time is set for 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Length limits are: Largemouth Bass = 5 fish with 14 1/4" length limit, Spotted bass = no length limit.

Top Twelve
Tournament

XXXThe Top Twelve Tournament was held on Lake Brownwood on April 24. Eleven Anglers participated in the event. Barry Merrill Captured first place with 4 fish weighing 10.21 pounds. Second place went to Rusty Roberson with 5 fish weighing 10.16 pounds.Third place went to E. A. Merrill with 3 fish weighing 6.65 pounds. Fourth place went to Jerry land with 1 fish weighing 5.45 pounds. Jerry's fish was the Big Bass of the event.

Upcoming Events

XXXMay 22 is the annual SPARD Fish Day in the Park. All members of the Stephenville Bass Club are requested to be at the park around 7:00 AM to help with the event. We need all the help we can get to work the event.

XXXMay 31 is the Memorial Day Fish Fry at Flamingo Bingo. Members wanting to help with this event need to meet at the Flamingo Bingo parking lot around 4:00 PM. Flamingo Bingo is located on FM 205 between Highway 281 and 377.
